ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

The Strategic Management Committee identifies long-range external and internal issues and trends that impact transportation organizations. It oversees the processes and structures used by organizations to consider these implications, plan, implement, and measure strategic changes. The committee also addresses the policies, decisions, and institutional structures that result from strategic changes. The Committee's scope is focused on:​

  • Managing transportation agencies response and change to disruptions

  • Best practices for applying data and equity considerations to infrastructure changes 

  • New and innovative methods to fund transportation services post COVID-19

TRB Centennial Paper

This paper summarizes the history of AJE10 (formally ABC10) starting in the mid-1980's, and the evolution of transportation policy, planning, and practice at TRB. It highlights the various missions and best practices for advancing transportation strategic planning. It also identifies past and present trends and emerging issues that are relevant to AJE10's mission and vision.
